Hi Sue
I agree being at work is
good for mental health and social inclusion, this is well documented.
The key is that the client feels
supported , and maybe quality or safety critical tasks need to be
adjusted .
The appropriate care has been identified
and implemented in terms of the health concern, it is vital
therefore to encourage the client , supervisor and health support
team to look at the work content and ensure that it is such that
your client can carry out work which will not cause added pressure
to someone who is already vulnerable
It is always a good idea to include
the GP in all steps of treatment. You could document thesupport plan and
include reviews with CBT therapist, OH and line management , this could
be sent to the GP with client consent, explain the importance of working
together for the good of your client. This where you can shine in terms
of "fit note" show the Primary health team the skill of OH
