Dear Alison

As most universities at present we have to jump through loads of hoops to be given permission to advertise.  I am confident we will get permission but at present we are at the 3rd out of 5 different processes!

We are asking for a Professor of Midwifery/Head of Division but the person will not take on the LME role as we need it to be a key researcher.  Sorry no advert before I leave but I know my team will keep the pressure on.

I will however be coming back a day a week to finish off a research project (end of October)

When do you finish?

Best wishes

Diane

Dear Diane,

Thanks for the clarification. I guessed that was the case.

I gather you are retiring. What is happening to your post? As you have gathered there has been a bit of a kerfuffle here, but at last the interviews are going ahead.

Best wishes, Alison

Very confusing that this has been circulated in January 2010 as you will see by the date.  For those that do not know Dr Denis Walsh was appointed last year!
