medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture Thank you, Frans and Terri. I don't have the Wilmart article yet--I'm going off of Glorieux's corrections for the PL. At first glance, I would say it can't be quite as old as Wolbodon, but it definitely could be a shortened form of some other name. It could be Odo of Chateauroux, though I would have expected Wilmart/Glorieux to call him that (or one of his other common names). The sermon is in PL 171:551-556, Sermon 42 (the second on the Passion attributed to Hildebert). The thema is from Psalm 21 (22): "Foderunt manus meas..." and the incipit continues "Septimana praesens, fratres charissimi, ex re nomen habens...." Perhaps Stegmueller has it correctly indexed--I can check that (and Wilmart) this week in the library.
