Your JISCMail group
home page is made up of many modules. Did you know that you can change the
position of various
elements of your page?
Start by
going to List
Management, Customization, Web Templates and type LAYOUT-GLOBAL in the
Search Template: box,
click the Search button. Click on the Edit Template button.
In this
file, every line
that starts with +IM is a module.
i.e. +IM
&+LOGGEDIN;
outputs the line on your page that says “Logged in as:
[log in to unmask]
(Owner)”.
If you wanted to, you could move this to just after the line ‘+IM
&+PAGETITLE’
to get it to appear under the title.
N.B.
When moving modules,
do not move any after the lines:
+EB
+BB
&+BODY-MESSAGE;
If you
do, the module you
are moving will not be displayed on every page.

You can link in your
own website's CSS to your JISCMail group homepage.
Start by
going to List
Management, Customization, Web Templates and type LAYOUT-GLOBAL in the
Search Template: box,
click the Search button. Click on the Edit Template button.

‘head’ of this page add:

Occasionally, there
can be confusion over the address you are signed up to a JISCMail list with.
For example, your
email may be [log in to unmask] and you will join the list using that
address, only to find
that when you attempt to post to the list, you receive a rejection message
as follows:
Listserv
does not recognise
you as a subscriber to the LISTNAME list using the [log in to unmask]
address so your
message is unable to be distributed. You may be subscribed with a
different email address
and if you know what that is, re-send from there.
If you
still have problems,
go to www.jiscmail.ac.uk/LISTNAME and subscribe to the list from the link
Join or Leave
NEWSLETTER
or
please contact the
list owners at [log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask]
This is
because your
institution actually delivers your address differently to how you would
expect - in this case
[log in to unmask] instead of [log in to unmask]
To
rectify the problem,
contact us at [log in to unmask] and we
will change the
subscription address to match how your email is sent.
Alternatively, just
subscribe again with your alias address, setting it to the 'Nomail' option
to avoid duplication
of postings. This will be the easiest option to choose if you have already
registered a
password, as you will then be able to log in and post successfully.
