Hi Folks, here is another resource for mineral formulae recalculation: http://serc.carleton.edu/research_education/equilibria/mineralformulaerecalculation.html Numerous options are included that also recalculate end members of feldspars, amphiboles, pyroxenes, garnets, etc. based on charge balance and cation site occupancy considerations (e.g. also calculating ferric iron-with all the attendant assumptions and problems). With permission, I'll add the spread sheet that Alicia sent to this collection of Excel recalculation programs.
