Dear Manon We have a Leica DMLM which provides both transmitted and reflected light, which we have been very happy with. But I thought it would be worth warning you and the list that we recently ordered the latest model, the DM2500, and found that there were problems with insufficient illumination for charcoal analysis. The only solution the manufacturer could come up with was to fit our new DM2500 with an illuminator from the old model, which was a bit of a hassle. I was given a demonstration of a Nikon LV100 once and was quite impressed by it. We are going to use this money to buy a light reflection microscope. Can you suggest any model and/or characteristic from an internation company (eg. Nikon, Leica, etc)?
