STATISTICAL METHODS FOR OUTBREAK DETECTION

This conference will focus on statistical methods for prospective surveillance of outbreaks of infectious diseases and their early detection and control. The conference will feature a broad range of invited talks from statisticians and epidemiologists, from the UK and elsewhere in Europe, working on epidemic surveillance and outbreak detection, including syndromic surveillance, laboratory-based surveillance, surveillance of specific infections such as influenza, and surveillance of mortality attributable to infections.

We invite contributed poster presentations on the conference theme. The conference fee of 30 pounds covers registration, lunch and refreshments on the day. We gratefully acknowledge financial support from the NIHR.
