(Apologies for any cross-posting) Royal Statistical Society Official Statistics Section are holding an open meeting on: “Recent Developments in Seasonal Adjustment of Official Statistics” Tuesday 16 February 2010, 5 pm to 7 pm, at the Royal Statistical Society (Tea available from 4.30 pm) For many years, the standard program used for the seasonal adjustment of official statistics was X-11. This has now been superseded by X-12, and work is under way at both the Office for National Statistics and the Bank of England to assess X-13. However, there are alternative methodologies for seasonal adjustment. The speakers will report on the latest work and consider the possibility of using a different approach.
