Dear Colleagues

I have received the request below from a colleague who is supervising a
doctorate student in Business Studies. If you have any key references
to suggest please reply to me and I will pass them on. Similarly if you
are willing to talk to the student or supervisor ( a short phone call)
please let me know, with your contact details. Please reply to me
[log in to unmask] rather than the whole list.

The Request:

"We are looking for someone who would be able to offer advice on the
current literature in the following fields: student learning
experience, learning styles and student expectations. We thought that
we had identified all of the relevant literature but are anxious to
ensure that we have not overlooked anything that is important. We are
particularly interested to know of any work carried out in relation to
pre-entry university students over their expectations and of any studies
that have specifically focused on the impact of the environment as an
explanatory variable.

It would be great to hear from any one who is familiar with the field so
that we could talk to them about what we have included and request
guidance on additional materials that we could consult."
