Apologies for any cross-posting. The London Museums Hub is pleased to offer a series of workshops on different aspects of information management over the coming months. The workshops are designed to take participants through the stages involved in implementing information polices and are based on the forthcoming Information Management Toolkit due to be released in January 2010.

Improving information management: Getting a Mandate

Improving information management is in effect change management and it is therefore important to obtain an organisational mandate ahead of the process of change. This half day session outlines some of the approaches that can be used to obtain mandate using case studies taken from the London Hub Information Management Project.

Improving information management: How to conduct an Information Audit?

A key part of improving information management is to know what information you hold. Information Audits enable you to identify what information you organisation has, where it is and who is responsible for it. This practical one day session covers a number of different approaches that can be taken to audit you information and how to analyse and present the results.

Improving information management: How to develop an Information Policy?

An information policy will provide you with a framework for making decisions about the way in which your museum creates, uses, provide access to, manages and preserves its information resources. This one day practical workshop outlines how to develop a policy using the London Hub Information Policy Framework

Cost: The training is funded by the London Museums Hub Information and Records Management Project and is free to museum staff (paid and unpaid) working in London.
