medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture

Dear All,

In view of the recent discussion of _claudi_ and _contracti_ in miracle accounts, please see the below.

A session accepted for next summer's International Medieval Congress at Leeds (12-15 July 2010) and entitled 'Travellers on the Margins of Society ' could now use an additional twenty-minute scholarly paper. As the two papers already on hand both have a good deal to say about the lame, the halt, or the otherwise disfigured, a paper about such unfortunates at one or two particular shrines would be especially welcome. The session is scheduled for the morning of Tuesday, 13. July.

Proposals including both a paper title and an abstract of 100 words or fewer should be submitted via the online Paper Proposal Form at:
http://imc.leeds.ac.uk/imcapp/Submit/PaperProposalForm.jsp
Use the beginning of the 'Abstract' space to indicate that the proposal is for session 3341.

Inquiries should be addressed to:

Please feel free to share this notice with others. Prompt submission may result in the special immortality that only a listing in the IMC's programme book can confer.

With best wishes,
John Dillon
