The Nursing Union List of Journals (NULJ) is a co-operative document supply scheme allowing health libraries to share journal articles under UK Copyright law. The scheme has grown over the years to incorporate a wide selection of health related journals and is no longer a purely nursing scheme. The basis of the scheme is that articles are supplied between member libraries by reciprocal agreement. By facilitating the sharing of journal resources by health libraries throughout the United Kingdom, the NULJ helps overcome the problems of tightening budgets and also encourages the dissemination of published information to support research, clinical practice and education. Any UK library supporting NHS staff can join the NULJ scheme. The NULJ subscription year runs from January to December. The cost of membership is £80 per Jan - Dec year and will be the same irrespective of the month joined. Only one library address can be associated with each membership.
