I am really getting confused now. I inherited a VMware 2.5.1, CentOS 5, FSL
4.1.0 installation. I want to install FSL 4.1.4 as a separate VM. I downloaded
this file:

fsl-4.1.4-centos5_32.tar.gz

The FSL Web page /fsl/fsl/windows.html says I should be getting a Zip file of
the FSLvm, which I should then be able to double-click on and Windows
Exporer will take care of the rest.

I used Winzip to unzip the above tar.gz file, but it looks like the source code,
not the FSLvm.

Separately I have been able to download and install the Mac version, but that
is not an option for me at my institution. I am stuck with Windows XP, and 32-
bit at that. I am not allowed any of 1) a Linux box, 2) a Mac, or 3) a 64-bit
version of Windows, not Vista, nor Win7.

Q1: how do I get the FSLvm zip file?

Q2: can I move to VMware PLayer 3.0 yet?

Q3. how do I install FSL so all users of my computer can access it? the
previous 4.1.0 installation can be run on another user's account, but
complains when I try to run it on my account. VMware works fine for all users.

Q4: any reason I should not purchase VMware Workstation and run the FSLvm
under that instaed of VMware Player? The VMware Web site says the offer no
support for VMware Player.

Q5: what does this string mean in detail?
CentOS5-32,Fedora6->10.WindowsVM-32bit
Where does Fedora figure in? No mention of Fedora in the installation
instructions.
