Maurice,
No worries. I did not meant to suggest that I was taking my DP ball and going home. :)

I was in agreement that the discussion was spiralling away from DP into planning. I was apologizing for spiralling into the RM/planning issues away from the DP theme. It is quite easy to be taken off on tangents when good arguments by intelligent and knowledgeable people put them forward.

The planning is fascinating, but the RM issues usually dominate the DP issues. Most people focus on the DP issues at the start of the process and worry less about it at the end. I am now at the end, i.e. back scanning and worrying about proper destruction, when the DP issue has re-emerged.

My concern about the retention issue is that this was soon spiralling into an arcane discussion of retention schedules, which is better suited to the RM list, where I plan to raise it. :)

In sum, no offence taken.

Best,

Lawrence
