An opportunity is available immediately for
postdoctoral research with Drs. P. Howard and P. Grochulski as part of the
Molecular Design Research Group at the University of Saskatchewan. This
is a multi-year funded position for structure and function studies on the type
II secretion system utilized by many bacterial pathogens in the secretion of
protein toxins. The successful candidate will have documented experience
in protein structure determination, including 1) protein purification and
crystallization, 2) data collection and processing, 3) structure determination
and model refinement. Modern protein purification and analysis facilities
as well as the Canadian Light Source will provide a highly motivated individual
with an excellent foundation for career development in structural
biology. Interested candidates should apply with a
cover letter and C.V. to Dr P. Howard at [log in to unmask] or to Dr P.
Grochulski at [log in to unmask]
Regards,
Pawel
