I've had the opposite problem where 'archivist' didn't appear at all! I was applying for a loan at the time and we had a discussion about my job and agreed to try 'researcher' as this did appear. We went through the whole process at the end of which the loan was declined because researcher was not considered to be a stable enough job to manage the repayments. We started again with 'local government worker' which was successful - so I'm pleased to see 'archivist' making it on to the pick lists.

Good morning all

I would just like to share this with you:

On opening a new HSBC bank account last week, I was amused to discover that on the “Profession” drop-down list, ARCHIVIST comes just above ARMS DEALER.

I do hope the bank lady was precise about filling in my details, as I’m slightly worried that being logged as an arms dealer may affect my credit rating.
