Dear All,
Just to let you know that no universities replied saying that they  suspended teaching on  religious festivals for world religions.
One university replied saying lecturers could rearrange a class if they or the majority of their class wanted to have the day as a religious holiday.
Hifsa from Staffordshire University made the following point:

The problem with both Eids is that it's a movable festival and based on the lunar calendar. You can work out when it should be, but different schools of thought in Islam do things a bit differently, hence in one city Eid can be celebrated on 3 different days! So, depending on a students views, and which mosque they attend, they will celebrate on different days as well. This makes it very difficult to cancel teaching as which day do you choose?

Many thanks to those who replied.
