PSCI-Comm members might be interested in this recently launched report. This
synthesis of academic and non-academic literature highlights what is known
and not known about public attitudes to environmental change.

It specifically reviews what is (un)known about:

Attitudes and responses to climate change
Attitudes to specific climate change impacts such as flooding, heat stress and
sea levels rising
Attitudes to changes in ecosystems, landscapes and species
Attitudes to energy technologies and infrastructure - including renewables,
fossil fuels and nuclear energy
Different campaigns and engagement activities and their successes and
different theories associated with environmental change attitudes

An executive summary and the full report is available at:
http://www.lwec.org.uk/news-archive/2009/30102009-report-published-public-
attitudes-environmental-change#attachments

The review was undertaken with support from RCUK for the Living With
Environmental Change Programme and was written by Dr Paul Upham and his
colleagues at Carbon Captured Limited.
