Swine flu vaccinations
Hi Leona and all the OHAs who have been
giving the swine flu vaccines, have you also had the vaccination? I am
very undecided about having the vaccination and am concerned if I have to
administer the vaccines to other people, how can I recommend other people
having it if I have made the decision not to have it myself! I wonder if
any of you out there have been faced with this dilemma?!

Dear Hilary, started on monday afternoon,
about 300 so far, lots of refusals especially from nursing staff, Drs on the
whole very keen. We have 4 nursing staff off sick with suspected side effects,
very sore swollen arms, generalised aches and pains etc. I wonder what the
volume of staff experiencing side effects is elsewhere?

Just out of interest wondering how your swine flu vaccines
are going?
What is the general response from frontline staff in your
trusts? Are they wanting to have it? Or lots of refusals?
We started ours at the weekend and was pleasantly surprised
how willing staff are to have it – wondering if this seems to be a
general thing or specific to Norfolk!
