Dear Colleagues, Apologies for any inevitable cross-posting. ILIG would like to invite, and even challenge, you to attend this year's Festive Quiz. Combine together to make a team representing your workplace, your sector, your special interest group or even your friends. Come along to meet and network with colleagues and to share an evening of entertainment led by quiz-mistress Maria 'activist' Cotera. Any funds raised will be put towards ILIG's 'emergency' fund to enable ILIG to provide swift support to libraries (or librarians) across the world in need of assistance - this could be anything from providing funds for a trolley in a prison library to helping cover the cost of shipment of a donation of books to an African country - we're open to suggestions (or requests). It's an open invite, you don't need to be an ILIG member or even a quiz fanatic and you don't even need to have a team as we can help you join one, there are also prizes - in fact there's no reason not to come so I look forward to seeing you on the 9th. Prizes will be awarded to the best teams. What: An 'international' quiz, followed by festive refreshments and networking. When: Wednesday, 9th December 2009. Refreshments from 17.45; quiz starting at 18.15; the event will finish promptly at 19.45 Where: CILIP, 7 Ridgmount Street, London WC1E 7AE Cost: A voluntary entry fee of £5 per person, going entirely to ILIG's charitable fund, will be greatly received.
