JOB OPPORTUNITY Graduate GIS System Manager / GIS Software Developer Company – UKPipeline Ltd (www.ukpipeline.com) Salary & Benefits from £20,000 and up. Location – Bristol with national and international travel. We are a specialist consultancy with a proven track record for delivery in the onshore pipeline design and construction sector for the past eight years. We are expanding into the data management market in 2010 and have recently agreed an exclusive reseller contract with one of the largest and most respected providers of pipeline Geospatial technology solutions in the US. In the coming months we will be joining the ESRI development programme and plan to launch the software onto live projects this April. This new business has created an excellent opportunity for a graduate GIS professional to manage the implementation of ESRI based GIS software and infrastructure in a developing business. Once the infrastructure is established the role shall require the ongoing management of the IT system together with the development of ESRI tools and plug-ins to streamline the data upload from the field surveys The UKPipeline Ltd work ethos centers on flexibility, variety and performance related reward. We are a looking for a key member of a small team, dedicated to accuracy, delivery, quality and client satisfaction, to work out of both UKPipeline’s West Country office and client project site offices. The main duties & responsibilities are to:- • Design and implement company wide GIS structure. • Implementation and management of the core database and IT infrastructure. • Develop mapping applications and software using MS development tools and Visual C++. • Design and implementation of new GIS project workflows • Data management, loading and transfer • Data loading for GIS / Digital Video projects • Harvesting & uploading of pipeline survey data. • Report writing and work instructions where required.
