My client is one of the largest and most respected providers of Geospatial/CAD technology solutions in the World.  They have an enviable reputation for delivering the goods in complex requirements situations.  Despite the downturn they have secured a multi-million pound contract to provide incident response management software to a number of major clients.

 

This new business has created an excellent opportunity for an up and coming software development professional to become actively involved in designing, building and implementing state of the art software services for a mission critical decision support system.

 

The main duties & responsibilities are to:-

 

▪       Develop mapping applications using .net-based productivity tools.

▪       Integrate application development with mapping software.

▪       Build robust well documented software using MS development tools and Visual C++.

 

Please apply if your CV shows:-

 

▪       Upwards of 2 years experience in geospatial application development, including current web technologies and platforms.

▪       Practical experience of integrating multiple applications and datasets.

▪       Fundamental experience and enjoyment of application programming and IT in general.

▪       Experience of working within the .Net framework and associated tools.

▪       Database integration skills ideally using SQL Server or Oracle

 

This is not a backroom job and candidates should be comfortable with some on site working and associated travel
