Special Session on Multicriteria Optimization using Nature-Inspired
Metaheuristics
in the Multicriteria Analysis and Optimization cluster
at the 2010 ALIO-INFORMS International Meeting,
Buenos Aires, June 6-9, 2010

Many practical search and optimization problems require optimizing more
than one objective function at the same time. These functions are
usually in conflict with each other so there is no single solution which
can optimize them all simultaneously. The complexity of many of these
optimization problem has led to the use of metaheuristics algorithms for
helping decision makers to find optimal trade-off solutions.
Nature-inspired metaheuristics are by far the most popular algorithms
for multi-objective optimization metaheuristics in current use.

This special session aims at providing a forum for presenting and
discussing on the latest advances in this interesting field of research.
Abstracts covering theory, practice, and applications of nature-inspired
metaheuristics for solving multi-objective optimization problems are
solicited.
