These special days always amuse me somewhat, it is as if I am being asked to suspend my usual misogyny and stop beating women for one day a year :) Having witnessed domestic violence at first hand I can assure readers that joking apart I have found myself quite incapable of hitting a woman even in self defence. Eliminating violence against women only is not going far enough though, it is as much as to say, beating anyone else up is legitimate, the woman being an exception, it is just another part of the general syndrome of an acceptable level of violence against anyone who is not a dominant alpha male. Well that is my thought for the day.
