This sounds like lay people getting confused over names Its sounds like the person you are speaking to is confusing someone like envirocheck with the environment agency Thanks Gareth Rees (Mgeol HONS FGS) Contaminated Land Officer Health and Enforcement Services Harborough District Council Tel 01858 821174 ________________________________ From: Contaminated Land Management Discussion List [mailto:[log in to unmask]] On Behalf Of Sylwia Osytek Sent: 03 November 2009 16:39 To: [log in to unmask] Subject: Hi everyone, Has anyone come across a situation where the Environment Agency issued a "pass" certificate with regards to contaminated land for properties for sale? I have an enquiry from a person with a house for sale. The property is located next to a site with a potentially contaminative use. Apparently, the Environment Agency will not issue a "pass " certificate until the site has been investigated by our council and it is confirmed that no contamination is there. Thank you in advance for your comments.
