Dear developers amongst you,

The CCPN programming and development team are planning to have a workshop
in Cambridge from midday on Monday 1st to midday on Wednesday 3rd of
February 2010 to tutor people on writing computer code to work within the
CCPN framework.

The course will be run using the Python programming language and will cover all
important areas of the CCPN data model and Python API. The material aims to be
of interest to those who wish to write extensions to the CCPN software, to
those who wish to link existing computational NMR methods to the growing
collection of software that is linked via the CCPN scheme and to anyone who is
simply keen to understand how CCPN works.

The material will cover developing graphical applications, including extensions
for CcpNmr Analysis; CCPN's spectrum assignment and NMR data analysis program.
Time will be available, upon request, after the course for anyone who wishes to
duscuss particular projects with the CCPN developers.

Attendees will be expected to have a basic familiarity with computer
programming/scripting and computational methods. However, no detailed
expertise in the Python programming language is required, but a basic
familiarity would be a great help. Tutorial topics include:

     * Top-Level Projects
     * Molecular Description
     * NMR Experiments
     * Peaks & Peak Lists
     * Resonance Assignment
     * NMR Restraints
     * Structures & Ensembles
     * CcpNmr Analysis macro scripts
     * Tkinter Graphical User Interfaces

Enrolment:
