One of the replies suggests that blackboard send over trainers
from the US – this is no longer the case, they have a training centre
based in Amsterdam who have delivered this training to our team here last year.
It is not of course free but is priced in comparison to other commercial
training.
For one or two users the cheapest way will be to attend a
training course in Amsterdam (with cheap flights this will probably cost less
than going to London say!) but another option is to gather a group of
candidates from other local universities and bring the trainer there. Whilst
you do have to pay the trainers expenses in addition to the fee it is
cost effective for about 8 -10 people – contrary to the myths abounding
their trainers do not fly first class or stay in 5 star hotels so the expenses
are usually reasonable.
We also found that the trainers on the ground will adapt to your
needs when running the training. Pepijn Kallis undertook our training and
we found him to be excellent
