Dear Hannah
Several years ago the Society of American Archivists bought out
a bumper sticker proclaiming ‘Archivists make it last longer’. However,
whether the general public will get it given they are rather hazy on the term ‘archivist’
remains to be seen.

Subject: archive slogans
Hey
everyone,
Slightly silly question, but its that mid-point of the week when the weekend
seems forever away, so am throwing a distraction your way!
I am doing the Archives course in Aberystwyth at the moment, and we are
thinking of getting hoodies printed. We are having a hard time coming up with a
slogan for the back that is funny to the general public and to archivists, and
the best effort so far is "archivists do it acid free!"
I am sure there are better and wittier slogans to be had - all suggestions
gratefully received!
thanks,
Hannah Thomas
