Visiting Assistant Professor positions in the Department of Statistics, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid The Department of Statistics of Universidad Carlos III de Madrid has several openings for Full-Time Visiting Assistant Professors, to teach courses in English and Spanish on any of its three Campuses, starting on September 1st, 2010. Potential candidates must have a Ph.D. and verifiable research experience in at least one of the following fields: • Statistics, • Econometrics, • Operations Research The position is offered for a two-year period. The salary will be based on the regulations of the local Government of Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid (CAM) for these contracts. The contract may be renewed for a maximum of two additional twoyear periods, subject to the academic needs of the Department. Any renewal of the contract will depend on the individual’s performance in teaching and research. Renewal conditions will be discussed individually. Once the contract period is completed, the Department may consider offering a permanent position at the level of Associate Professor.
