So we are officially now piggy-rig . we had the foresight to call ourselves PyGyRG on our website from the start, although the address is <http://pygywg.org/> http://pygywg.org/ - please keep using this, it may take us a while to get that changed. Secondly, and it seems so far away I know, and not that long since some of us were in sunny Manchester this summer, but the RGS is already starting to gear up for conference 2010, which will be 1-3 september in London. Below are the key dates to be aware of. Can I encourage anyone interested in (co)convening any session to e-mail titles and perhaps some idea of format to me the week beforehand (24th Nov.), so the PygyRG (loving the new name!!) committee can discuss if need be . 2009 we had all our 7 proposed sessions approved. AND we've had agreement from RGS to hold sessions in publically-accessible space again this year, providing we can organize it - worth bearing in mind when you're brainstorming sessions . though there are no guarantees we'll do our best (if anyone has contacts with community centres/local organisations in South Kensington please do get in touch!!) Kye - 1 December - Research Groups to forward their Proposed Sponsored Sessions to the Society ( <mailto:[log in to unmask]> [log in to unmask]), for dissemination on the conference website ( <http://www.rgs.org/AC2010> www.rgs.org/AC2010). - 22 February - Research Groups to submit sessions with papers and abstracts to the Society - 29 March - Open session papers submitted to Society When submitting sessions, the Society will ask for 5 keywords to describe each session. This will help identify sessions that may be complimentary, or overlap, and will help with planning. These will also be used to allow an additional way to view sessions on the conference website (by keyword). We look forward to receiving all your interesting sessions and calls for papers soon.
