[Social Innovation Design]
Korean Design Research Institute (KDRI), which is a part of Seoul National University in Korea, is supported by Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Energy. This design institute is building a multi-disciplinary system with world network in order to create new design concept and cultural value.
KDRI is going to publish the 5th international issue of ASIA DESIGN JOURNAL to find and create concepts and trends in Asian values and culture. Many in the design industry have expressed great interest since the journals distribution to major design organizations, prominent bookstores in Seoul as well as overseas. KDRI is striving to make the journal more helpful to the readers and to become the center of healthy debate on design.
For the special theme of ASIA DESIGN JOURNAL 2010, KDRI wants to ask you some questions for a survey of designers’ opinion. The subject of ASIA DESIGN JOURNAL 2010 is ‘Social Innovation Design’. KDRI asks design professionals what they think about ‘Social Innovation Design’. From this survey, KDRI hopes to understand other designers’ viewpoints and ideas about social innovation with this as a momentum.
