Some of the employee's tasks are safety critical. What should the manager do? What can they do? What is within the legal framework? Without the use of a breathalyzer how can the manager gather enough ( measurable)evidence to support their decision to bar the employee from carrying out their job? I am aware that this is a management issue; however in devising the local Alcohol policy OH's advice is being sought.
