Some of you may know of Norman Levitt, arch-Science Warrior and co-author of Higher Superstition, which predated the Sokal Hoax. He has recently passed away. I have written my appraisal of him and what he represents on my blog. Some of you may wish to respond but do so on my blog (listed below) rather than on this listserv.
As you may know, I believe that publicity is the ultimate compliment in a world of increasingly scarce attention resources.
