Good afternoon everyone, My current department is undertaking a year long digitization project that involves going through many donated collections and processing and selecting pieces to be digitized. All these collections are basically photographs, manuscripts, letters and other flat, 2 dimensional ephemera. As part of this project we have to come up with selection criteria for the digitization. At the moment we are figuring out this criteria and functioning without any current guide. I was hoping that you might be willing to share with me any of your digitization criteria or digitization policies? Also I would like to share two examples of what has been influencing our thoughts as we create this criteria. Please see below. Thanks in advance everyone! Anything you send I am sure will be helpful to us!
