LIS-MEDICAL Digest - 11 Oct 2009 to 12 Oct 2009 (#2009-219)
I would but we've hit 12 o'clock so the internet here has slowed to a stop - one disadvantage of relying on wikis.
Wikis are all very well until they stop supporting IE6 (our IT depts won't need to worry about blocking You tube soon as it will no longer support IE6).
Apparently people not in NHS have long ago moved to browsers that do work but our IT dept won't install firefox because 'it causes too many problems'.
Just about to slow to a stop for lunch, but then will be back up to full speed - shame the same can't be said about our internet connection here!
Many thanks,

Did anybody else see the letter in this week’s BMJ (10th October) p821 -
http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/339/oct05_2/b4065
“Libraries of the future”? (Apparently wikis are the libraries of the future!)
It irritated me sufficiently to put a reply in which is now on the BMJ website under the Rapid Responses to the letter. If anybody
else wants to stick the boot in please don’t feel you have to hold back.
