Dear GEM list members,

I am emailing to remind you that this is your last chance to book a place on one of two inspiring whole-day interpretive writing events this autumn. Michael Hamish Glen, experienced interpretive writer and teacher, will lead these events which will give you a chance to polish your prose and communicate more creatively with your audiences. Each workshop includes practical writing challenges as well as the opportunity to produce interpretive writing in response to a site visit. Both sites are stimulating venues for interpreters: the ‘pocket park’ in Stroud needs inspiring interpretation and a lot of interpretive writing has recently been installed around Loch Leven.

Words that Sing and Dance - Kinross

Vane Farm, Kinross, Fife - 13 October 2009

This event will take place in Scotland, on the attractive shores of Loch Leven, at the RSPB’s Vane Farm near Kinross, a few miles north of Edinburgh. Both sites are stimulating venues for interpreters: a lot of interpretive writing has recently been installed around Loch Leven and the ‘pocket park’ in Stroud needs inspiring interpretation.

Words that Sing and Dance - Stroud

The Exchange, Brick Row, Stroud - 15 October 2009

This event will take place at a tiny community green space, in the heart of the doughty Cotswold mill town of Stroud in Gloucestershire.

The cost of each event, to include a delicious buffet lunch, all refreshments, speakers and site visit, is £110 for AHI members and £125 for non-members.

Please visit the AHI website where you can download a detailed programme and booking form:

Kind regards
