Peninsula College of Medicine and Dentistry
Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Medical Statistics

This is a new post, created to increase the College's capacity in medical statistics, and specifically to act as a key driver in the design, development and execution of research projects within PenCLAHRC. Such projects will be identified and prioritised from topics of particular concern in the NHS in Devon and Cornwall for which existing research evidence is insufficient to guide patient care and service development.

You will have a PhD or MSc in statistics, epidemiology or related discipline or equivalent research experience. Experience of health service research design and analysis is essential as is a good record of research publication and grant acquisition. Existing programme of personal methodological research achievement would be desirable.

This is a University of Exeter appointment and will be based in Exeter.  This is a 3 year fixed term appointment.

Salary for this appointment will be on the scale £31,513 - £38,757 per annum for a Lecturer appointment and £38,757 - £52,086 per annum for a Senior Lecturer appointment. Point on scale will be determined by knowledge, skills and experience, and will be clarified following interview.
