Dear All,

We have an inpatient patient in her late 70’s with an IgM paraprotein >30g/L. The clinical staff are finding it difficult to analyse her sample on the blood gas analysers due to rapid cryoprecipitation of the sample, despite best efforts to maintain sample at body temperature and analyse rapidly.  Similarly we are unable to analyse samples in the laboratory.

Any suggestions on how to overcome this would be most welcome. Please could you email to me directly with your responses?

Thank you

Kind regards

Sukhi
