COGNITIVE NEUROSCIENCE POST-DOCTORAL POSITION Institute for Pediatric Neuroscience, NYU Child Study Center, NYU; School of Medicine The Institute for Pediatric Neuroscience is currently recruiting a post-doctoral fellow interested in identifying and/or characterizing abnormalities in the neural substrates of fundamental cognitive processes, as related to childhood onset psychiatric illnesses (e.g., autism, ADHD); The fellow will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, integrating the findings of a broad spectrum of approaches including: - resting state functional MRI - diffusion tensor imaging - cortical thickness - voxel-based morphometry - simultaneous EEG/fMRI Qualifications: The minimum qualifications for a successful candidate include: - completed PhD in biomedical engineering, electrical engineering, computer sciences, cognitive neuroscience, or related fields; - significant prior neuroimaging experience with functional MRI and/or or EEG - strong skills in usage of one or more common functional neuroimaging (FSL, SPM, AFNI) packages - Programming experience in Matlab, C/C++ or similar platform is a plus Anticipated start date: fall, 2009 If interested, please contact me at [log in to unmask]
