“New Techniques for Old Problems, Conservation in Canterbury Cathedral, Recent Projects and Research.”

 

1 day conservation symposium  15th October 2009 (with onsite visits on 16th October).

Conservators from a range of disciplines will share their experiences of working on Cathedral treasures, artifacts and collections to show how the environment has contributed to its survival or been responsible for its deterioration; how they have attempted to control predict or minimize its effects and how they have used data for conservation projects.

Projects include stained glass, books and manuscripts, textiles & painted surfaces.

 

Costs:

One day lecture programme £60.00 (students £40.00)

For the full two day programme £80.00 (students £60.00)
