Dear Colleagues, Many thanks for the advice received. This summary covers current charges in 28 libraries. Most are in HE; one’s in FE and one response was from a public library. 3 libraries charge different rates for photocopying and printing and one has different rates for students and external users (to include VAT). These figures are for those which charge the same for photocopying and printing, no matter who the user is. Not all libraries provide all services, hence the differing totals: B+W A4: 1 library charges 2.5p, 2 charge 3p, 1: 4p, 18: 5p, 3: 6p, 2: 10p, 1: 20p. Over 28 libraries, the average price is 5.73p B+W A3: 3 libraries charge 5p, 2 charge 6p, 2: 8p, 14: 10p, 2: 12p, 2: 20p, 1: 40p. Over 26 libraries, the average price is 11.04p. Colour A4: 1 library charges 7.5p, 1 charges 15p, 3: 20p, 2: 25p, 2: 30p, 1: 40p, 6: 50p, 2: 60p, 1: 70p, 1: 75p, 1: £1. Over 21 libraries, the average price is 42.74p. Colour A3: 1 library charges 15p, 2 charge 25p, 1: 30p, 1: 40p, 3: 50p, 1: 60p, 1: 64p, 8: £1, 1: £1.20, 1: £1.50. Over 20 libraries, the average price is 67.65p.
