[It seems that the choice of the word "production" wasn't very good - it has nothing to do with the quality of the service, it just means that jobs are being run.] As you say, the requirement for Production in the JDL is just a default and can be ovverriden, and anyway if you submit with -r it bypasses the JDL completely and just sends the job directly.
