The purpose of this newsletter is to highlight new additions to the library and any special pieces of work we have done.

New look to the National Library for Public Health

We have revamped our front page. It now lists more topic areas where we have extensive public health collections. Further topics are in development, but please note that we have public health pretty well covered so if you don't see the topic you are interested in, try a search! You can also send us feedback about the new look or the content - have you tried to find resources and not found anything? Visit the new look website and let us know how we are doing.

NHS Evidence needs your help

Provided by NICE, NHS Evidence is a web-based service that provides easy access to high quality clinical and non-clinical information about health and social care. NHS Evidence is looking for advisors to feed back on how the search function is working in everyday practice so that it continues to develop in line with user needs. Read more about the Sources of Content Advisory Panel and how to apply.

Consultations

Consultations on a number of public health topics are currently being run. Further details can be found via the links below.

The library has been developed to provide high quality evidence e-based information on all aspects of public health.

It is designed for those working in the field of public health by providing a single source of access to web based evidence on public health. It is being developed as part of the Department of Health Information and Intelligence Strategy by the North East Public Health Observatory. It replaces the Public Health Electronic Library (PHeL).

The National Library for Public Health does not contain patient information on individual medical conditions.

The National Library for Public Health is based at the North East Public Health Observatory on behalf of the Association of Public Health Observatories as part of the Informing Healthier Choices strategy published by the Department of Health.
