Subject: The William Smith Meeting on Environment, Pollution & Health at the Geological Society next week - interest to Hydrogeologists and Environmental Geoscientists

William Smith meeting 2009:

Environment, Pollution and Human Health
21 - 23 September 2009
Burlington House, London

Dear Colleagues,

The 2009 William Smith meeting begins on Monday morning and there are still have places available at the event.

Title: Environment, Pollution & Health - lots of interest to Hydrogeologists and Environmental Geoscientists.

It's very reasonable too - only £65 / £25.

If you would like to attend, please complete the registration form - attached here as a word doc for ease of returning to us at this stage. The final programme is also attached.

This conference aims to bring together "traditional" geoscientists (geochemists, hydrogeologists, engineers, geophysicists, mineralogists) and scientists outside traditional earth sciences (toxicologists, microbiologists, physicists, chemists) from both academic and industrial communities to present and discuss the state-of-the-art in the understanding of environmental pollution and the potential threats to human health. The meeting may also act as a forum for research projects supported under the joint Environment and Human Health programme.

Registration will begin at 8.30am on Monday 21 September and the event will run until Wednesday 23rd September.

Further information about the event can be found on our website at http://www.geolsoc.org.uk/gsl/events/listings/page4598.html

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.

Many thanks,

Alys Hilbourne
