Theme - we've gone for a variety of high-calibre evidence-based presentations on up-to-date topics. You should not come out of any of these sessions thinking that this is what you have just heard your junior colleagues being taught.

Advantages of this meeting:
1. Value for money!
2. Variety
3. Quality and relevance - lectures by consultants, mostly from EM
4. Time efficiency - over 7hrs of content in a single day; no need to arrange 3+ days off for a course away
5. A venue which is "local" to those not living in London (although Londoners are also welcome)

We have only built in a little time for socialising and meeting people, but this is because the focus is on CPD value for the day. Still, it is possible that some would find one talk they are not too interested in and make use of that time for an additional break...

There will be a tour of the Emergency Department at 17:00, upon completion of the final lecture, led by local consultants. This is a large, modern and very innovative Emergency Department in a designated Level One Trauma Centre. Spaces for this will be limited in the interest of patient privacy and comfort. Places may be reserved at registration.
