Dear Aacorners, I like to introduce Temi Darief ([log in to unmask]) to our community. Her research is situated in the field of management education - mainly looking at arts-based approaches in MBA courses. She explores how the use of film in management education can be extended by drawing on the concept of Verfremdung (estrangement), primarily Bertold Brecht's approach, to stimulate critical reflection and action. She is interested in contributing to the understanding of this arts-based teaching method by investigating the question, amongst others, "Does it work?". Currently she is a PhD candidate in Management at Macquarie University Graduate School of Management in Sydney, Australia. Previously, she was vagabonding through life until her late twentieth when she decided that it was time to do something more conventional, and enrolled in a BA in Social Science, followed by a Masters in the same field of studies at the Heinrich Heine University in Germany. Contrary to the initial purpose of her studies to complete a degree and enter the workforce as quickly as possible, her passion for learning was triggered and substituted physical for intellectual vagabonding. Best wishes, Stefan
