We are looking for a Publications Manager to cover maternity leave for a period of 10 months, starting in September / October.
See below or follow the link to our website for more details.

The Organisation
The Institute of Cancer Research (a College of the University of London) is a world-class cancer research organisation with HEFCE Research Assessment Exercise ratings of international excellence across all of its research programmes. In partnership with The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, we form the largest comprehensive cancer centre in Europe, dedicated to research that extends from epidemiology, genetics and molecular biology, through drug discovery and development, to cancer diagnosis and patient treatment.

The Role
The Publications Manager will be responsible for delivering the ICR's scientific print and online publications. These include the ICR's Annual Review, Postgraduate Prospectus and also the Annual Research Report, which is published jointly with The Royal Marsden. The post-holder will also help develop interactive educational materials for students, and will deputise for the Assistant Director of Academic Services (Publications) in relevant matters across the Publications team.

You will be an experienced manager who has worked within print and / or electronic publishing (ideally both). You will have a degree in a medical or relevant science subject, together with extensive writing and editing experience, and will be comfortable delivering scientific content to a range of audiences. With significant experience of delivering complex projects on time and on budget, you have already demonstrated your ability to manage multidisciplinary teams, commission and co-ordinate third-party suppliers, liaise effectively at all levels and oversee technical, creative and editorial quality.

The starting salary will be in the range £32,892 to £37,794 p.a. dependent upon skills and experience. This post also benefits from a contributory "final salary" pension scheme and generous leave entitlement. The post is to cover maternity leave and will be available for a period of 10 months in the first instance.
