Modeled on the 'BIG event' the 'Little Event' is aimed at those new or relatively new to the field of STEM communication. This mini conference aims to pass on the background to how we work and give a taste of what BIG can offer to newbies in the field. The day will feature 4 sessions all delivered by experienced science communicators following BIG’s hands-on approach:
- Learning Theory and Evaluation
- Presenting Science
- Interacting with the Public
- Careers
Perhaps most importantly the day will offer science communicators, from across the UK, the opportunity to meet others doing similar work.
Cost: £45 to BIG members and £95 to non-members. Annual membership to BIG is £30. Cost includes buffet lunch.
