Papers deadline: 31st August. Paper length: 20mins Proposal length: 200 words Papers are invited for the following panels: • Narrativity in postmodern drama • Diasporic narratives • Terror and territory in postcolonial narratives • Writing across generic borders • Intercultural performance and writing • Postcolonial aesthetics in contemporary fiction • Postcolonial performance and the fracturing of narrative If you have an idea for another panel that addresses issues pertinent to the themes of the conference, we would be delighted if you email us a proposal Please email proposals (no more than 200 words) for papers or workshops to [log in to unmask] Conference Details Title: Fractured Narratives: Pinter, Postmodernism and the Postcolonial World As the first of three international conferences sponsored by the Pinter Centre's current AHRC-funded research project, 'Beyond the Linear Narrative', this conference takes Harold Pinter's work in different genres as the starting point for an investigation of experimental and innovative approaches to narrative that characterise much postcolonial and diasporic performance and literature. The conference aims to stimulate new ways of conceptualising the field of postcolonial and diasporic performance/writing, asking a series of questions about the links between inter-cultural transformations and political change and the emergence, or perhaps, re-emergence, of non-linear and fractured narrative.
