Historians of science, technology and medicine are invited to apply for the second round of junior research fellowships awarded by Imperial College London. These awards will give the world's top early-career researchers three years free from teaching and administration plus a competitive salary and research expenses. Applicants must have an upper second or first class undergraduate degree with a PhD or equivalent. They should have an outstanding track record in research and up to 4 years of postdoctoral experience. Each applicant needs to identify a sponsor within the Centre for History of Science, who will act as their mentor and help them develop their research. In the first place, prospective applicants should contact the relevant staff member to discuss their research plans. If invited to proceed, a c.v., research proposal, and two letters of reference will be required by 1 October 2009.
